Advanced features

You can install TheFork´s booking widget directly in your website to increase your bookability.
Below you can find videos on how to install each of our widget options available for the most commonly used website builders.
After Reservation Redirection
This allows you to redirect your customers to a page after they have completed their reservation. This can be a static or dynamic page.
SETTINGS
Go to “global settings” on the bottom left and then click on “Booking module” ⇨ “Settings”.
On settings click on “Configure” and go to the tab “Integrations”.
Add the URL
Example: https://restaurantwebsite.com/thank-you/
Add extra dynamic information
https://restaurantwebsite.com/thank-you?pax=<%partySize%>&date=<%date%>time<%hour%>&<%lang%>
Where:
-
- partySize = Number of pax
- date = Reservation date
- hour = Reservation time.
- lang = Language of the widget
Examples of a “thank you” page after the reservation.
https://restaurantwebsite.com/thank-you?pax=2&date=2023-07-10&time=975
https://restaurantwebsite.com/thank-you?pax=4&date=2023-07-19&time=975&lang=en
https://restaurantwebsite.com/thank-you?pax=2&date=2023-08-25
INSTALLATION
We recommend opening the widget link in the same window by clicking the button. At the end of the booking the user will be redirected to the restaurant's website.
Do not use the iframe on your website. The redirection replaces the widget URL with the thank you URL so if the widget is inside an iframe the thank you page will also appear inside the iframe.
Example (All the process in the same window):
Start of booking:
https://restaurantwebsite.com/reservations/
⇩ Click on the booking button ⇩
Booking on the widget:

⇩ Reservation completed ⇩
Redirection to the restaurant's thank you page:
